Audio Video Installation Technician

Job Description

 

The audio video installation technician shall be able to accomplish the following tasks and any other related to it, along with the company ethics codes.

 

• Install audio video equipment in residences and/or commercial spaces


• Install TVs (including but not limited to on-wall with concealed cables, flush mount, etc.)


• Install speakers (including but not limited to in-ceiling, on-wall, in-wall, outdoor, etc.)


• Run low voltage wires in residences (through the walls, and ceiling through attics)


• Install video projection equipment (video projectors and projection screens)


• Install low voltage equipment in residences (access points, smart elements, etc.)


• Assist in running basic setup for audio video equipment


• Build (partially or fully) the equipment rack


• Comply with all aspects of the installation process set by the company


• Adhere and/or learn installation best industry practices


• Adhere to the company standards of quality


• Professionally interact with customers when required

 

Experience

 

The following is a list of experiences that can match our requirements; however, we are open to evaluating any other professional background that may meet the purposes.

 

• At least 2 years of experience installing AV equipment is preferred


• Experience as a cable TV installation technician


• Experience as an IT technician


• Experience as a security system installation technician


• Experience as electrician

 

Skills and qualifications

 

• Ability and expertise in using hands and power tools


• Advanced skills in installation techniques


• Knowledge of residence’s structure and construction techniques


• Willing to learn


• Organizational skills


• Attention to details


• High sense of responsibility


• Customer service oriented


• Ability to work independently


• Positive attitude and able to provide solutions when needed


• Effective communications skills


• Excellent teamwork player


• AV certifications are a plus

 

Pre-Employment Requirements

 

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation


• Have a basic set of hands tools


• Willing to submit a background check
